Private tutor in Portland, OR

Education

BS in Applied Mathematics from the University of Oregon in '14 Current graduate student pursuing an MS in Mathematics at Portland State University

Experience

Scored a 35/36 on my ACT and a 1990 on my SAT. I've professionally freelanced as a tutor for the last four and a half years. At times this is my only source of income so I take it very seriously. In short, I guide my clients smoothly to a place of richly intuitive contextual understanding w/r/t whatever corner of the mathematical corpus they've gotten themselves eddied into. Depending on your needs we can either enrich your understanding of the material you're paying so much to be exposed to and thus arm you with tools and skills that might justify your enrolling in whatever class you're in OR, we can go ahead and just set you up to pass that next test. "Problems" are a fundamental subset of the culture of mathematics, if you have a homework set and a pencil we're ready to begin. I usually meet at Coffee Time on like 21st and Irving or something, on the West side.
