My extensive educational background and professional experience have made me a well-rounded tutor in a variety of subjects.At the University of Michigan, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Arts in Speech. At the University of California, San Diego, I earned a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre. I have had a part in the making of many plays. Whether it involved writing, acting, directing, or producing, theatre has always been one of my greatest passions. Teaching and tutoring is another of my passions. I taught for more than thirty-five years, including becoming a trained Waldorf high school teacher. I favored the subjects of English, history (United States and European), philosophy, comparative religion, and theatre. I thrive on helping students at all skill levels achieve their highest potential. I teach them various skills, such as observing the world around them and picking up on easy to miss details. In addition to the subjects mentioned above, I tutor social studies, psychology, religious studies, and public speaking. I can help students develop study skills and prepare for various tests, like the GRE, LSAT, and PCAT Verbal Ability. In my spare time, I enjoy teaching meditation and Tai Chi classes. I also like to garden, read, and play chess.
