Education

Studying art history and French at Portland State University. Transferring to the American University of Paris in fall 2015 in order to pursue studies in journalism and art theory. GPA 4.0. Honors: President's List. Awarded the Global Citizen Scholarship, 2015.

Experience

1.5 yrs. experience working as a facilitator at large non-profit writing workshops in the Portland area. Facilitated discussion and critique groups on novel, poetry, and prose structure and development, as well as discussion/debate groups on philosophy and classic literature. I profoundly enjoying helping students to not only better understand the subjects they are studying, but to help students find a source of joy and discovery within the process of learning. Education should be rewarding, and I hope to help bring clarity and encouragement to where there is confusion or frustration. The classes I have taken at university cover a broad range of subjects, and include English literature, French (my minor), art history, psychology, environmental science, and world history. I have large amount of experience in building college-level thesis, of which is my greatest acedemic strength. Outside of class I also work both as a large format photographer as well as a photography assistant, so I can help with tutoring students new to the field of film photography. I have substantial experience developing film within the darkroom.
