I am currently a science communicator, and my background includes English, biology, and environmental education. I have attended both Scripps College and the University of Oregon. I recently graduated from the University of Oregon with a Master of Science in Environmental Science and Multimedia Journalism. My past experiences include working with the American Kestrel Partnership, a citizen science initiative.As a tutor, I am comfortable helping students in many different subjects within the English and Science fields. In English, I can help students with reading, writing, literature, essay writing and editing, and public speaking. I am able to tutor students in science subjects like biology, ecology, and other life sciences. Study skills and organization are also important skills that I can help students with. I can also help to prepare students for standardized tests like the PSAT, SAT, and GRE.In my spare time, I enjoy playing roller derby at a competitive level for the Wheels of Justice in Portland, Oregon.
