Juniata College - BS, Biology, minor in Spanish
Experience
I recently graduated from Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, where I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Spanish. While attending college, I was able to spend time between my freshman and sophomore years studying in Orizaba, Mexico, and I also studied abroad during my junior year in Quito, Ecuador. Thanks to my experiences studying abroad, I became a fluent Spanish speaker. Additionally, my college career included a few leadership roles -- I was the vice president of the college's Spanish club and I was part of the Bonner Leaders Program. During my senior year, I was selected to be a lab leader in a Spanish II classroom, where I tutored students in Spanish levels I and II. I also spent time during my senior year working on a yeast genetics research project, which helped me hone my troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.I tutor students in a variety of Spanish classes, including Spanish at the introductory level, Spanish levels 1, 2, 3, and 4, as well as AP Spanish and AP Spanish literature and culture. Additionally, I tutor students in different science classes, including science, biology, general biology, cell biology, AP Biology, life sciences, chemistry, general chemistry, inorganic chemistry, honors chemistry, earth science, and physical science. In my free time, I enjoy fishing, biking, playing volleyball, and traveling. I also enjoy cooking and trying new food.
