Experience
My goals as a tutor are to help inspire the same kind of excitement that I have for the material to my students and to share the information that I have accumulated with others. I have a student-based practice, and I am able to study and listen to each student carefully so that I can figure out exactly what their strengths and weaknesses are and how they learn. I like the idea of tutor and tutee working together as a team. I tutor in a wide variety of subjects in both languages and the social sciences. My background at a bilingual Spanish and English institution and my continued education in French and German qualify me to teach French, German, AP Spanish Literature and Culture, and Spanish 1-4. My bachelor's degree in Anthropology from New York University and my master's degree in Zooarchaeology from the University of York in the UK contributed to the educational background I employ in my tutoring. I also concentrated in Archaeology and Religious Studies at NYU, so I am well qualified to tutor in subjects such as Religious Studies, Earth Science, Anthropology, Art History, Human Geography, Genetics, and many more. I love animals (did you know that 'zoo' means animal in Greek?), reading, playing musical instruments, and learning about ancient history.
