Hobbies
I grew up in the small town of Pinetop, Arizona where I was a local at Sunrise Ski Resort. I grew up skiing, snowboarding, and playing a lot of soccer and softball. Upon graduating from high school I had a very hard time with the idea of letting go of competitive soccer. I decided to play soccer for Mesa Community College; however, I had an academic scholarship to attend ASU that I could not give up. Instead of doing one of the other, I did both! I was a full time student at MCC and ASU, while also playing soccer during 2 consecutive fall semesters. It was hard work and a lot of fun! After my second year of college, I got a job as a camp counselor at a sleep away summer camp in Roscoe, NY. I was a counselor their for 4 summers and then was promoted to the leadership team as the Lower Camp Girls Friendship Coach. My five years working at camp has shaped who I am as a person and has ultimately had a huge impact on my life. Beyond all of that life information, I am very passionate about education. I am a very organized and a hard worker and I would love the opportunity to share these qualities with your students.
