Private tutor in Portland, OR

Education

University of Washington 2016 BS in Physiology Sunset High School Class of 2012

Experience

Private tutor for one year (various maths, physics, ACT/SAT), High School Football Coach (tutoring experience included here as well). I offer high-impact, personalized tutoring services and football skills training at very competitive rates. Please contact me if you are interested! As a biology major at the University of Washington, I spent a lot of time learning about how we as humans learn and not only the best methods that we can employ as learners, but the best methods that we can use as teachers. As a result, I am always striving to learn more. I hope to be able to share my enthusiasm for learning and not only increase my student's grades, but their capacity to learn efficiently. I offer private and group tutoring for all subjects at the high school level with an emphasis on math, physics, biology, and test prep as well as college level biology. A little bit about me: I originally moved to Portland in 2004 and attended Jacob Wismer, Stoller, and Sunset High School. I attended the University of Washington and graduated June 2016 with a BS in Physiology. During my time as an undergraduate, I worked for the UW Huskies Football team and worked very closely with the quarterbacks and under the guidance of OC Jonathan Smith (QB for Oregon St in 2000). After graduation, I spent some time coaching high school football in Kent, WA and working at a high-end restaurant to help cover the costs of coaching. I moved to this area (next to PCC Rock Creek) at the start of this calendar year and have been working as a tutor, trainer, and small business owner (NW Tubing and Fittings). I truly believe that I can help take students and athletes to the next level and have a growing track record of success with the students I have been working with. Hobbies

I almost have an infinite list of hobbies and interests, and consequently have at least a basic knowledge in a wide variety of fields. I have my focuses, but here is a short snippet of things that I enjoy the most. I love music. In high school, I decided to teach myself the piano and the guitar and have been in a constant state of learning music ever since. To this day, I play the piano, guitar, ukulele, I sing, and I dabble in a variety of other instruments. My main focus these days musically, however, has been creating music digitally on the computer. I also love anything active. I currently am a private football skills trainer and would like to expand this area of my life. I am a fairly active person myself. Lastly, I truly enjoy creating things. I have recently gotten into woodworking, which proves itself to be a time-consuming and expensive hobby, but it is extremely rewarding to be able to craft something out of wood.
