I'm a tutor based out of Portland, Oregon, where I enjoy running, doing yoga, and exploring Portland when I'm not in the classroom working with students. As a tutor, I'm able to work with students on their Spanish language skills. I'm also able to help students who are learning English as a second language. I have two degrees, one in Spanish and another in Political Science, from Central College. While in school I lived abroad in both Spain and Mexico, which reinforced my love for the Spanish language and made me a fluent speaker of the language. After graduating from school I focused on helping refugee families just entering the United States with their English language skills. My current work at a homeless shelter in Portland allows me to use my Spanish language skills almost every day. I'm deeply passionate about learning and teaching new languages, and enjoy helping instill a passion for culture and exploration in all of my students. I love to help my students finally achieve a breakthrough in a topic that they've been studying with for some time. If you think that I can help you break through, let me know.
