I went to Portland State University to earn my bachelor's degree in English. I then spent two years working in Argentina and New Zealand, and I've returned to the United States to attend graduate school, coach a rowing team, and tutor. I love language and literature, I love helping students figure out the way they learn best so they can find success as learners. I enjoy helping students work through learning obstacles, develop their strengths, and reach their goals. I tutor Spanish, essay writing and editing, literature, English grammar, and test preparation for the writing, verbal, and reading sections of the SAT, GRE, and other exams. When I have spare time, I like to row, hike, backpack, bake, read, travel, and go on road trips.
