Education

University of Wisconsin-Madison - Bachelors, Genetics and English Literature (double major) , Oregon Health & Science University - PHD, Bioinformatics and Computational Biology

Experience

I'm currently attending graduate school and studying biology, computer science, and statistics. I enjoy helping students learn new things regardless of age or ability. I want my students to develop learning skills so that they are prepared for advancing their education independently. I have a strong background in a number of different disciplines, and I've been a teaching assistant at the graduate school level, so I know how to present information and put together lesson plans. I've also worked as an English teacher for ESL students within the United States and abroad. I can tutor students in algebra, calculus, public speaking, genetics, biochemistry, biology, geometry, elementary school math, computer science, trigonometry, earth science, chemistry, biostatistics, ESL, test preparation, microbiology, JavaScript, and more. In my free time, I like to play the guitar, practice my Spanish and Mandarin Chinese skills, play board games, read literature, and paint.
