Experience
I have had numerous experiences working with kids and know how to communicate with them. I have worked as a camp counselor for the City of Gaithersburg, a substitute teacher for Goddard School, and an art teacher for the Sitar Arts Center. I have also had 6+ years of babysitting experience. I've worked with kids age 5-10. For these jobs I had to teach kids new concepts and activities every day. Throughout all of my schooling I have received good grades. I was on the honor roll consistently in elementary, middle, and high school. I was on the Dean's List all four years of college. On my SATs I scored 1850 out of 2400. I am also a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. I am a successful tutor because I love kids, I love teaching, and I love learning. I get along well with kids because I'm very sympathetic to each child's individual passions and struggles. I have taken college courses in biology, physics, psychology, art history, sociology, writing, English, philosophy, drawing, painting, and political science, and I am proficient at teaching any of these subjects.
