Education
Senior Biology major at Reed College
Experience
Lead instructor for Jr. Grunt (educational summer program through Portland Parks and Recreation, ages 13-16) Student teacher for Reed Biology Outreach (ages 10-12) SAT score: 2180 Why I'd like to be a tutor: Education has always been really important to me, and I really enjoy the teaching process. But I've found that the classroom environment isn't very conducive to learning (having 20+ students and trying to get them to move at the same pace on the same subject material is next to impossible). I much prefer 1 on 1 teaching, as it tends to be much more effective.
