I graduated in 2012 from Johns Hopkins University with a degree in political science. I'm received my Master's degree from Boston University in international affairs with a GPA of 3.85. I've studied and traveled abroad in Chile, Peru, Bolivia, and Cuba, where I honed my Spanish language skills. I particularly excel at conversational language skills. This past semester, I volunteered to mentor a high school student writing an honors thesis in history, and worked with other BU students to create a lesson plan for special lessons in world history and current events.

SAT combined score: 2110 Verbal: 800 Quantitative: 610 Writing: 700 GRE Verbal: 167 GRE Math: 152 Spent a semester abroad in Santiago, Chile, where all classes and assignments were conducted in Spanish. Participated in the full IB program in high school, familiar with the program's rigors and requirements. Last year I worked with a high school sophomore who was getting D's and F's in his English, Spanish, and history classes. By the end of our year together, he was getting A's and B+'s in those courses. I don't have a car, so I will need to be able to meet with students in places that are transit accessible.
