Education
I was a Romance Languages major with a focus in Journalism at the University of Oregon. I graduated in 2011, after studying for a term at the University of Buenos Aires. During the academic year of 2011-2012, I have been teaching high school English in Spain. I have tutored people from ages 5 through 45.
Experience
My Spanish focuses are in Latin American literature and history, though I have briefly studied Spanish literature. Some of the classes I have taken include Social History of Latin America, Spanish American Literature, and a course on cultural and linguistic translation. I love working with people of all ages, and most of my employment history has been in childcare. I love languages because they provide people with a different way of discussing and perceiving the world, opening people up to new ideas and ways of being.
