In addition, I worked as an editor for the university newspaper and organized both marketing and fundraising events to suppport local authors in their publishing endeavors.
Experience
I have worked as a tutor for over a decade now, beginning as a volunteer in college and continuing as a professional educator and writing coach. Through that experience I have learned how to help people develop the voice, confidence, and structure needed to accomplish whatever goals or grades they desire. I want to continue tutoring because it is always inspiring to be involved in the learning process.

Hobbies
In Graduate school I worked as writer and editor at a university newspaper where my columns became a regular feature. At the same time, I worked as student intern at the university trade press where I was active in the acquisition, editing, design, and marketing of several notable publications. As a graduate senior I was published in several journals and was the winner of an annual student writing contest. Since graduating, I have worked as a freelance writer, editor, and tutor of multiple subjects in addtion to writing. And when time allows, I continue to act as an online liaison between local writers and small press publishers. I am also working on several writing projects of my own, some of novel length and near completion.
