Hobbies

Hi! I'm Claire Willett, a 33-year-old Oregon native, and though I'm new at professional tutoring I've been a pro at helping students write papers since I was in school myself. I have been the girl you call when you need help with your thesis statement since I was in high school. I earned everything from spending money to homemade cookies to free tech support in college by serving as my dorm's master editor. My cousins in college still call me during finals week to edit drafts for them. I loved writing papers in school (so dorky, I know) and I am both a speedy, ruthless proofreader (thank you, ten-year career as a professional grantwriter for some of Portland's biggest arts organizations) and a writer capable of great style and panache in a number of different voices, if I do say so myself (thank you, ten-year career as a professional playwright). I'm a voracious reader with a passion for English mystery novels, a coffee addict, a passionate theatregoer and arts supporter, a collector of vintage china and an obsessive Billy Joel fan. Look forward to hearing from you!
