Experience
I spent nearly three years living abroad in Spanish-speaking countries (Spain and Chile), and am certified in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, or TEFL. While teaching English abroad in Chile at both a community college and a language school oriented towards business professionals, I received very high marks on employer conducted student surveys, which reflected my students' happiness with the progress they had made throughout the course. Although I thoroughly enjoyed my time teaching larger class sizes (between 15-20 students), I have especially enjoyed my tutoring experiences due to the emphasis and focus I am able to place on a single student or a small group of students. With a good tutor, students can progress in their language studies at a faster rate than they would taking traditional, larger classes. I enjoy being a part of this progress, and for that reason would like to continue tutoring here in the United States.

Hobbies
I love Spanish, and try to make time every day to enhance my Spanish skills, whether it's reading, writing, listening to music, or conversing with a native speaker. I'm also an avid golfer, although I don't get the chance to play as often as I would like to. I am a terrible dancer and a terrible singer, but enjoy both. I've really grown to enjoy writing over the years; currently I'm working on assembling a collection of some of the best stories my family has to offer.
