Education
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in English Education from Trine University. I graduated in 1998 with a 3.70 GPA. I have a Master of Arts degree in Writing, Rhetoric, and Discourse from DePaul University. I graduated in June 2014 with a 3.9 GPA. I also have a graduate TESOL certificate from DePaul University. My certificate GPA was 4.0 Additionally, I am a licensed high school teacher.
Experience
I am currently a writing instructor at Chemeketa Community College in Salem, OR. I have also worked as a volunteer tutor at the Southeast Asia Center in Chicago, IL. Additionally, I completed my TESOL training hours by co-teaching an undergraduate ESL writing class in the spring of 2014 at DePaul University. I am interested in being a tutor in order to help students excel. Teaching and education are lifelong passions. It is my hope that I can help instill a desire for lifelong learning in all of my students.
