Hi, I'm Julie, and I am passionate about teaching. My tutoring style includes explaining how to get to a particular answer. I believe that it is not only important to get the correct answer, but it is also important to know how to get there. Once a student learns how to arrive at an answer, this skill can be used in all areas of study. I also understand that each student learns in different ways, and I have found a variety of ways to teach. I incorporate drawings, models, analogies, practice problems, and some other strategies to help my students grasp the material. I believe that students with confidence learn better and are more likely to succeed, so I strive to give my students the confidence they need going forward.I am a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a minor in studio art. My next academic adventure is pursuing my Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, so I can do research. My tutoring journey began while I was a student myself, and I loved the feeling of helping someone understand a difficult subject. When I am not studying or tutoring, I enjoy riding horses; I have five horses back home in Montana. I also enjoy doing anything outdoors; from hiking to swimming to kayaking and anything else outdoors that piques my interest. I look forward to meeting you and helping you succeed in your academic career.
