I am a recent college graduate and will soon begin working on a Master of Education degree. I love teaching Advanced Mathematics courses, including Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations. However, I also enjoy teaching Elementary Math, Middle School Math, and many other types of math. I like my students to have fun while learning and I think the two really can go hand-in-hand. I find that making the subject fun, helps students struggling in the subject learn to enjoy it. I adapt my teaching style to every individual student's style of learning. During college, I worked as a private tutor and I also worked as a tutor for a local community college. I have worked with students of many ages, including teenagers to older adults. I earned my Bachelor of Science with a major in Mathematics and a minor in Secondary Education at Portland State University. I am working on choosing where I would like to earn my Master of Education, so I can then fulfill my career goal of becoming a Math teacher.In my free time, I love to camp, hike, and snowboard when weather permits. I am also an avid sports fan, and I love catching a great NBA, NFL, or college football game.
