My goal as a teacher is to inspire each of my students to be life-long, self-reflective learners who enjoy taking responsibility for their own growth. I strive to enable students to achieve their personal best, while still emphasizing the joy of learning new skills, talents, and concepts. Since each student is an individual with their own unique strengths, interests, backgrounds, and obstacles, I believe that this joy is best achieved through differentiation. In each lesson, I focus on providing multiple means of representation, expression, and engagement to help scaffold my students to success. I have been an elementary school teacher for the past 10 years, and have a wealth of varied experiences within the field of education. I have taught the Common Core Standards, and would love to help you and your child navigate the new framework.
