Education

Received BA in English Literature at The Colorado College in 2004. Currently in the second year of the Secondary Dual Educator Program at Portland State University, through which I will receive a Master's degree in (and licensure to teach) both General Education (Language Arts) and Special Education. Graduation date is June, 2015.

Experience

I want to be a writing tutor in order to sharpen my instructional skills in this last year before I become a licensed and full-time middle or high school teacher. My graduate program (dual Master's in both General Education and Special Education), along with my vast experience as a Teacher Candidate (student teacher) in both middle and high schools has provided me with extensive experience and knowledge about writing instruction.
