I have an MFA in Writing. I obtained this degree while attending the University of San Francisco. Before getting my MFA, I got my BA in English at Arizona State University. I have experience teaching publishing and writing courses over the years. I enjoy working with individuals on their writing tutoring needs because I approach things in a unique way. This helps students to better understand the topic and it keeps them interested in what we're learning. I think students need to remember that the reader can't see what you're thinking in your mind, so you need to write all of the important details. When students learn this, they're able to find the right words and language to share their ideas. I'm able to help students with their writing and publishing needs. I can tutor them to write better and to think through their writing process more. I can help with both creative writing and standard essay writing.I also enjoy hiking, listening to music, and exploring the Portland area.
