While pursuing my studies, I became friends with a lot of international students. I had the chance to provide many of them with English tutoring assistance. From time to time, I would help them by editing their electronic communications or cover letters.It was while working with these students that I came to think long and hard about different learning styles, since it's important to see how students learn best and teach accordingly. I also kept tabs on what seemed to get students' attentions, which helped me to develop lesson plans to best meet their needs.I earned an undergraduate degree in Chinese literature/culture, and I spent a year living in China, which definitely helped my Chinese language skills. In fact, my Chinese language skills are native-like in terms of fluency. I also went to an immersion program focused on the Mandarin language prior to high school.I cannot remember a time that I didn't like writing. I have enrolled for university courses that focus on composition, argument formulation, and analysis. I regularly do admirably on the writing portion of standardized tests.In my spare time, I like writing, watching movies, dancing, swimming, and biking.
