I have studied at the Art Institute of Portland for the past four years. I spent 1 year studying Game Art and Design before switching my major. I then studied Visual Graphics and Game Programming, a bachelors of Computer Science, for the last 3 years and am a year from graduation. GPA 2.75
Experience
I have taught a drawing class after high school for a few months at an alternative high school. I want to share with others what I know and I really enjoy educating and helping. I have taken many figure drawing courses and game programming courses. I am proficient in the Unity3D engine and know C#, C++, and Javascript. I am currently learning Unreal Engine 4. I recently was the lead programmer on a mobile game. I worked in Unity3D and wrote the entirety of the client-side source code in C#, including all APIs. I managed the art team and implemented my own A* path finding algorithm. I recently was also on a 9 month game development team in college to make a game in Unity3D. I was the lead developer for the first term and was the creator and original writer. I then was the co-lead for the following 6 months and taught myself CG shader language code. I wrote all the in-game shaders we used in our project and set standards for the art team to follow. I can 3D model in Autodesk Maya, can UV unwrap, texture, rig and animate. I can even prepare 3D assets for a game environment and can demonstrate how to export them into various engines. I've also written my own 2D and 3D physics engine in Javascript and created my own 3D raytracing renderer, obj importer, and 3D rasterizing engine in C++.

I enjoy playing games, drawing people on my commute, making games and brushing up on my 3D modeling skills. Currently trying to learn German and pick up the programming language LUA and Java. I also really like to go hiking around Portland's forest park.
