I attended Washington University in Saint Louis, where I earned a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry. For graduate school, I enrolled in the University of Washington at Seattle, where I attained a doctorate in Chemistry. I have been teaching and tutoring middle school through college students for years, and am also open to instructing those even younger than my typical client base. I specialize in biology, chemistry, physics, basic science, and physical science. Ever since I was a child, I have had a love for science. I want to bring this joy to other people, in effort to better our world. My method involves asking questions that provoke thought, thus increasing students' success in comprehension. I am a native of Oregon, who loves calling the natural environment home. There are so many opportunities to be outdoors in the northwest United States. I take advantage of most of them, in the form of skiing, mountain climbing, bicycling, and running. I am a gardener who utilizes my green thumb often. My favorite companion, my dog, often joins me. I make every attempt to keep myself up on the arts and other enriching activities. I enjoy listening to and playing music, as well as reading books.
