Experience
I am a tutor with a passion for philosophy, writing, and literature. I'm here to help students in a multitude of subjects including writing, literature, philosophy, social sciences, and English. I'm also available to tutor French. I love working with students on their SAT test prep. I received my degree in Philosophy with a focus on Philosophy of Science and Metaphysics from Reed College. I spent part of my time as an undergraduate studying abroad at Paris IV-Sorbonne where I studied Media Theory and Philosophy. As a Reed student I had several of my writings published. I excel at philosophy and literature, and I'd love to share my passion about them with students. As a tutor I emphasize practice. I believe that practice makes perfect, and I give my students as many practice examples as I can so that they truly understand the material we are studying. I work towards finding the area that students struggle the most in, and then helping them bridge the gap in their understanding. In my spare time I enjoy being active. I like to run, workout, go camping, and hike. I'm also an avid reader and I love cooking, watching television, and working on computer programs.
