I'd love to be a guide to you or your child on this journey where I will take you/your child from a struggling student to life long learner with the curiosity and thirst for knowledge. As a guide, I possess a certain set of skills that will help you or your child succeed! I graduated from Brown University with a science degree in Human Biology. I've lived in Sydney, Australia and Hong Kong, China where tutored and provided educational and admissions consulting to many students from all walks of life! Specific to my teaching credentials and experience, I have 4 years experience tutoring, providing structured lessons according to your needs. I come prepared and organized and am patient, compassionate, nonjudgmental, and clear in my instruction. Specialties include middle/high school students, first generation college students, athletes, and students with ADD/ADHD. I also provide advising to high school and college students on university admissions, financial aid, athletic and club programs, and course selection. I work with the student and their family to find a great match between a school's offerings and the student's community, social and academic needs and interests. I hold a Certificate IV in TESOL, a University of Cambridge CELTA and have extensive teaching, coaching and leadership experience in academia, community service, and sports development.
