I am a dedicated educator with over seven years of teaching experience. I have worked with youth and young adults in a variety of educational contexts to help them prepare for continuing education and/or career paths. I have taught in Community Colleges, nonprofit settings, and job readiness training. I currently teach Geography at Clackamas Community College. I have mentored students one on one and taught large groups. My emphasis is in connecting learners to the material in meaningful ways, and understanding each student’s personal and academic goals. I am sensitive to different learning styles and am able to employ a variety of approaches to support a positive learning environment for all students. Personally, I am passionate about social equity and have dedicated myself to youth leadership development and environmental justice work. My educational background is interdisciplinary, with both quantitative environmental science skills expertise qualitative human geography and humanities education.
