Experience

I have led writing and social justice workshops at various conferences and universities, including the Allied Media Conference, the North American Students of Co-operation Conference, and the University of Michigan. I love learning and talking with people, so I'm excited to help people explore their curiosities and grow as students. I took the GRE two years ago and scored 170 on the Verbal Reasoning section, 158 on the Quantitative Reasoning section, and 5.5 on the Analytical Writing section.

Creative writing is one of my passions. I love to both read and write in a variety of genres, including poetry, creative nonfiction, and speculative fiction. My writings have appeared in multiple anthologies, including Men Speak Out: Views on Gender, Sex, and Power (Vol. 2) and The Year's Best Science Fiction and Fantasy 2011. I also enjoy playing board games, going on hikes in Portland's many beautiful parks and wilderness areas, and participating in sing-a-longs!
