Experience

Since a young age, I've always been fascinated with learning. My first real experience with teaching began my senior year of high school, where I took part in an ROP Child Psychology class. My participation included collaborating with elementary school teachers, developing lesson plans, and spending time with students one-on-one. Although I was initially intimidated, seeing someone suddenly realize they understood something was a deeply rewarding feeling. Soon, my interest developed into a broader love for the fields of Education and Psychology, the latter of which I received a Bachelor's degree for. After graduating, I decided to pursue teaching again – this time outside of the classroom. Since then I have been tutoring for a little over a year now and absolutely love it! I've had clients from middle school to graduate school and am familiar with working with people with learning disabilities. There is no one way of teaching. We all learn differently. I am frequently described as an articulate person but, more importantly, I am also intuitive, which allows me to find what works best for each individual.
