Education

I'm a fine artist currently working toward my Bachelor of Fine Arts at Pacific Northwest College of Art. My GPA is currently a 4.0 and I am the Student Body President. I facilitate weekly Student Council meetings and bi-monthly Student Leadership meetings. I just finished up my first year and had an amazing experience. I am on scholarship and really value the quality of education I am receiving.

Experience

I taught Intro to Art the spring semester of my senior year (spring 2014) in high school wherein I created curriculum for the term focusing on the elements and principles of art. I mentored about thirty students. I differentiated lessons for English Language Learners and Special Education I also give private art lessons to young children, including children with special needs. This spring (2015) I spent two weeks work-shopping with the AP Art Classes at Summit High School regarding composition.

Hobbies

I am a very passionate artist. I spend a lot of my time organizing personal projects and performance art pieces. I am also a musician and I write/sing songs accompanied by either my ukulele, or keyboard. I have knowledge about Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator and often use them for fun in my free time. I also write poetry and prose. Some of my work can be found at emmadahl.com, however most of this work is rather old.
