Emporia State University - BSE, Secondary Education Social Studies

I attended Emporia State University, where I earned a bachelor's degree in secondary education in social studies with a minor in Spanish. I also have two years of experience working with students in Denver. I tutored these students in Spanish and helped them prepare for the ACT and SAT. Presently, I work as a substitute teacher in Portland. With experience in a wide range of subjects, I can provide tutoring in areas such as elementary math, algebra, geometry, calculus, biology, chemistry, statistics, social studies, American history, writing, literature, and a variety of related AP- and IB-level courses. Because of my previous work experience, I can confidently help my students do well in diverse subjects while also making tutoring sessions both productive and positive experiences. In my leisure time, I like to read, go to the gym, and spend time out in nature.
