I graduated from a University in Tokyo, and I got Bachelor of Art degree in Japanese History. I also studied Psychology at Baruch College, City University of New York. I am a Certified Coach at Japan Potential Ability Development Association

Experience

I am a native Japanese lived there for 30 years. I was teaching at Japanese immersion School for Non Native Speakers in Tokyo, and also worked as an Instructor at Japanese language Schools. I moved in Portland 2008 and Volunteered at Japanese Immersion Elementary School. I also opened Japanese Culture and Language Introductory Class. My teaching is altered based on the purpose of each students. Also, I love to introduce Japanese culture and people's life there. I have a lecture series of Japanese Anime (Ghibli Movie etc.) and cultural background. I accept students from all ages and backgrounds.

I live close to downtown Portland, and enjoying both nature of the Washington Park, Forest Park etc. and convenient and fun areas such as Nobhill, Pearl District etc. I like hiking almost all year around. I enjoy mostly Asian food, and I enjoy take out as well as cooking by myself. I join Meetup hiking groups, and enjoy Oregon nature. Besides hiking, I like traveling, sailing, and dancing.
