Experience
Throughout my teaching career, I have held regular tutoring sessions for my students for reading and writing. For three years, 85-93% of my middle school students achieved meets or exceeds for year end state assessments. I would like to be a tutor because I employ successful close-reading, critical thinking, and logic/reasoning strategies for successful text comprehension and test taking strategies. Additionally, I have maintained a 4.0 in both of my Masters programs and am proficient in teaching creative, narrative, expository, argumentative, and research papers. I enjoy working with students and helping them realize success.

Hobbies
My hobbies are reading, physical fitness, and hiking. For several years, I have been teaching full-time, completing Masters courses, working a second job, and coaching cheerleading. These activities have taken up most of my spare time. Although still taking college courses, I now have more free time to assist students who may be struggling with reading comprehension or writing. I connect with and am very successful in helping students realize their potential and finding the internal spark which will motivate them to do well in all subjects and realize their greatest potential. I believe all students can learn.
