Portland State University, with 40+ college credits earned in high school. Working on a degree in Liberal Studies. Current College GPA is a 3.22, and I will be taking a full course load this year. Graduated Canby High School with an Honors Diploma, and was a recipient of the President's Education Award.
Experience
Tutored for Freshman at Canby High School SAT Score: 1830 ACT Score: 29 AP US History Score: 4 I have taken a variety of courses in education, and love to help students understand subjects better! I have tutored in the past, and had success with each student. I am flexible on my pricing, and am willing to work out details with anyone who wants to use me as a tutor. I can teach a broad range of courses, and have college level training in all of them. I graduated high school with a year of college also done (due to credit amounts). Additionally, I have a unique background in the sense that I have taken a number of college exploration and career exploration classes. These include classes on: Taking notes, test prep, career exploration and preparation in education. I can help students with forecasting for the next years classes in the spring, help build better note taking skills, and help with pre-test anxiousness/studying anxiousness. Courses I have taken that will help: Future Focus AP US History EL 103 Taking Effective Notes WR 121 English Composition WR 241 Creative Writing WR 312 Intermediate Fiction Writing WR 463 Book Marketing I will also hopefully be tutoring on a voluntary basis at Canby High School, and having classroom time in many of the classes I listed above.

Hobbies
I love being active and outdoors, cooking, hanging out with friends and family and more. I love watching movies and TV, as well as listening to music, and enjoy using those mediums to learn as well as teach. I love learning and I love helping others learn, so I hope that I can be of service to someone this upcoming year. I am available for online help, but can also do in person meetings. Unfortunately I do not have training in Special Education or Early Childhood Education. My specialty is in High School age students.
