In 2012 I graduated with a 3.75 GPA from Indiana University majoring in both English Literature and Anthropology with a minor in Psychology. I focused my English major on Shakespeare studies and focused my Anthropology major on primatology, which culminated in a summer spent studying primate behavior in Costa Rica.
Experience
While I was in school I tutored high school age students in basic math/english/science. I also spent a summer in college working as a camp counselor in a camp specializing in wildlife rehabilitation and outdoor skills. We were teaching a group of 10 children ages 8-12. I also babysat while I attended school, children ranged in age from 1-11, and help with homework was frequently part of our day. I began college with 15 AP credits from high school. AP courses that provided me with college credit include: AP Language and Composition, AP Biology, AP Literature, AP Psychology, and French. English/Math combined SAT score: 1300 Most of all, I want to be a tutor because I genuinely enjoy helping another person learn! The moment where everything clicks and mental roadblocks are cleared is so exciting to experience!
