ExperienceI am a substitute teacher with experience teaching students of all ages and from every grade level. Most of the students I have taught are in grades K-8. I mainly tutor students in reading and writing, as well as communication skills. I have experience working with English as a Second Language (ESL) students. I have experience in journalism and acting, and I believe that those attributes have helped me learn the importance of effective communication, and presenting information in an engaging way. I have a passion for helping students and sharing my knowledge with others, especially students from low income or disadvantaged backgrounds. All students deserve equal access to resources, especially something as precious and important as education. I am able to identify the strengths and weaknesses of my students and help them overcome any obstacles, as well as develop the skills needed for success. I love to tutor, and I enjoy coming up with fresh ideas and new lesson plans to fit the needs of my students. I look forward to working with my students, and promise to put my heart and soul into making them successful.
