I have a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, both from the University of Oregon. I live in Portland, Oregon, where I am enrolled in the graduate program at Portland State University. My goal is to earn a Master of Science in Statistics. My experience as an educator includes teaching ninth grade mathematics in a Mozambique public school as a volunteer in the Peace Corps. I have tutored students ranging in age from elementary schoolers to adults in math and Spanish. I believe that anyone can learn and even excel at any subject, including math. The important thing is to work hard and have plenty of encouragement.Subjects I am available to tutor include all levels of Spanish, Japanese, elementary math, middle school math, arithmetic, geometry, trigonometry, pre-algebra, all levels of algebra, linear algebra, differential equations, general and graduate level statistics, pre-calculus, all levels of calculus, multivariable calculus, competition math, discrete math, AP Calculus AB, and IB Mathematics HL and SL. I can help students in special education and students preparing for standardized exams such as the TOEFL. I am willing to help students over the summer months as well.In my spare time, I like to play the guitar, learn mathematics and foreign languages, read, and go hiking.
