Experience
I am a world traveller, who didn't just visit countries as far a field as Ghana and Taiwan, I chose to live and work where I traveled, which allowed me the privilege to get to know the indigenous cultures of the counties. I worked for the Multnomah School District 1997- 2010 primarily in the Special Education System. I was not only in charge of the reading and writing skills of many of the students in this educational department but also in the mainstream, as this is where the school district's expectations for all students were. This enabled me to tutor many students from all walks of life, cultures and aptitude. In my capacity as a Para-educator I have experienced tutoring Elementary, Middle School and High School, which has always been an ongoing learning experience for me. A specific example of private one on one tutoring for a private family would be a Korean families children, a sister and younger brother; during the summer holidays I kept them up to par with their English spoken and written work. I get great pleasure in tutoring, and through my life experience and background I am confident that the students retain the knowledge happily and easily in an accepting and non judgmental ambiance. The pride I have for the students' success is difficult to relate. I suppose the saying 'a picture tells a thousand words' would apply here ... my smile says all. Being a professional actress I have taught 'Acting for the camera' and Drama Skills for theatre and the camera. On an individual as well as classroom basis. For private schools such a PHAME and for agencies such as LIME LAB and for the SUN programs in the School districts. I have also volunteered for IRCO tutoring the refugees non English speakers, and tutoring them in the culture of America giving them the tools and the skills to navigate their daily lives. This past year I have been a substitute Para-educator for PPS Portland Public Schools.

Hobbies
I am happily married this past 20 years. I have a 30 year old son from a previous marriage; I am not a grandmother yet :). As I have said I am a professional actress so I am by nature of what I do, my interests naturally flow towards anything do with the arts and creativity.I have very eclectic taste in everything, be it food, clothes, music, reading, theatre and/film. I am also a loving homemaker and a good cook, putting to good use my cultural experiences. I love to garden; my husband and I tend a vegetable and herb garden. I am an avid Scrabble player and I like to play chess. I am a student of life!
