Science and math are the most fascinating subjects to me, especially how they reveal the universe. Logical and orderly, math is a subject I tutor often, including algebra, arithmetic, and elementary/middle school math in general. Science is simply awe-inspiring and a joy to study, particularly its beauty intertwined with every aspect of our lives. While I tutor chemistry, physical science, and astronomy, my love for literature has been a backbone for my English instruction and help with SAT verbal, writing, and critical reading sections. Personally, some of my favorite topics are astronomy, special relativity, molecular biology, and artificial intelligence. The creation of art and music is something I enjoy very much as well.I like reading and have studied the Waldorf and Montessori educational theories as of late. Understanding the learning process is very important to me, particularly in regards to early childhood development. I look to these theories to improve upon my tutoring and gain insights into what each unique tutee is capable of.In school, I attended the University of Rhode Island and now live in Portland, Oregon. I enjoy many things in my spare time besides education, including piano, philosophy, film making, cooking, farming, and wilderness survival.
