I was elected to the National Honors Society in high school and began roles as a tutor during that time as well, doing so consistently up to present day. I am now in my second year at the University of Portland, concentrating in math and science. I am very passionate about helping students grow academically and build a thorough understanding of challenging subject matter. It is also very rewarding to see students progress in their learning and realize new and efficient methods of study and their application to classroom and real world scenarios. I strive to challenge students with the nuances of various subjects, especially when I can offer my considerable skills in math and science. I excel in assisting students glean a full understanding of these challenging courses and prepare them for future educational and career endeavors. I am skilled at tutoring math from elementary to college levels and take the time to connect with each student to ensure I deliver lessons to the very best of my ability and encourage students to feel comfortable in the tutoring environment. My hobbies and interests include movies, video games, and playing sports such as football, basketball, and soccer.
