Private tutor in Portland, OR

Portland State University - BS, Mathematics

An excellent tutor should be patient and kind, yet have the ability to break down complicated subjects and find the smaller details. These are traits that I believe I can offer to students during tutoring sessions. I have worked with family members and close friends as a tutor for many years, primarily focusing on mathematics at a collegiate level. I can offer my skills to students in algebra 1-2, calculus 1-3, differential equations, pre-calculus, trigonometry, multivariable calculus, SAT math, AP calculus, and test preparation. Prior to college, I was required to take the SAT. From my results, I placed within the top 1% in the United States for mathematics and the top 2% at the Oregon level. I ultimately attended Portland State University, where I received my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, with a primary focus in mathematical modeling and dynamic systems. I graduated with a 3.9 grade point average. I live in the Portland, Oregon, area. When I am not working on my own studies or tutoring, I love playing soccer. I also enjoy participating in dragon boat.
