Experience

I have tutored children in South Korea in English. I have tutored adults in ESL in New York City. I went to a "progressive" high school in the late 60s and we didn't take standardized tests (but we were very smart!). I love to tutor because it gives the student the chance to get exactly the kind of help she or he needs. It can be much more relaxed and yet much more effective than classroom learning. I have taught a great range of English language subjects to both native English speakers and ESL students. I have taken classes in teaching methodology, teaching grammar, teaching reading and writing. linguistics. literature, creative writing and teaching English pronunciation to non-native English speaker
