Education

I graduated from Oregon State University at the end of 2013 with a 3.90 GPA. I received an Honors Bachelor of Science with two majors: Biochemistry/Biophysics and Bioresource Research (options in biotechnology and genomics/bioinformatics) and a minor in chemistry. I am currently working as a researcher at the Oregon Health and Science University.

Experience

I have been a professional tutor for over a year now, teaching ACT/SAT exam prep and various math/science subjects for high school students. I have been tutoring since I found I had a knack for it when I was studying in college, and I started my tutoring career at Portland Community College. I have gained years of professional tutoring experience at both Oregon State University and private tutoring companies since then, and it is extremely rare that one of my students does not improve their understanding of the content being taught (and by extension, their grades).

Hobbies

I am working as a researcher at OHSU, studying cancer signaling pathways. I was a undergraduate researcher for about three years as I was studying at Oregon State University, and I have been able to expand on what I learned during my time at OHSU. When I am not working at OHSU or helping kids, I enjoy staying active and outdoor activities such as hiking.
