I have been tutoring various subjects in Public Schools since 2010, and have been teaching private music lessons since 2007. I enjoy being able to cater each lesson plan to each specific student and their learning style. Connecting with students and helping them see their potential is definitely a highlight! During my college career I had a focus in literature, writing and languages, with an interest in helping children acquire English through various ESL programs that I was able to participate in as a mentor/tutor. This led me to explore tutoring and teaching further.

Hobbies
When I'm not teaching/tutoring, I greatly enjoy writing music and playing piano as a form of creative expression. I also love being involved in some sort of art medium (watercolor, graphite, acrylics, photography). I usually bike ride to work in the mornings to get my day started right and interact with the city, and I love planning my next adventure. While in university, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Spain, and the last trip I took was to Buenos Aires, Argentina. Up next I'm hoping to see Japan or be able to visit family in Eastern Europe! No matter where I go, I am always reminded that I'm happy where I belong and that there are always great things to discover about my wonderful home in Portland, OR.
