I spent the last 2 years at Linfield as a laboratory teaching assistant and as a tutor for our Biology department, mostly with our Principles of Biology class (210/211). I enjoy being a tutor because learning was not always something that came easy to me. I had to work very hard to figure out my learning style and what worked best for me in terms of studying and retaining information. It is because of this that I think I have the patience and creativity to help others find what approaches will help them find academic success as an individual. My experience working at Linfield has shown me how to tutor in a group setting, as well as one-on-one, providing a safe learning environment for however many people are present.
