I've been involved in educating others for five years. I attended the University of Oregon for my bachelor's degree in math, and Oregon Health and Science University for my masters degree in biostatistics. As a tutor, I focus on helping students develop solid writing skills and independent learning skills. I want my students to be able to take charge of their own learning and success. I also modify my teaching approach to match the needs of the individual. I prefer to work with college-level and high school level students on math topics. I also enjoy working with nontraditional students and those who perform poorly in math. My favorite subjects to tutor are statistics, discrete math, and algebra at the college level. In my free time, I enjoy cooking and card games.
