Experience

I attended Louisiana State University for my bachelor's degree in creative writing. I then went back to get a degree in secondary education of English. I've had experience teaching ESL in Korea. I've also been a homeschool teacher and I have plenty of tutoring experience. I've taught just about every subject, and I utilize an approach where I identify the talents and learning styles of my students to dictate the way I teach them. I enjoy helping students work through learning obstacles to achieve success. I also believe that learning can be fun. I can tutor algebra, elementary school math, middle school math, public speaking, French, English grammar, essays, study skills, literature, and test preparation for the ACT, SAT, and other exams. When I have free time, I enjoy yoga, fitness, cycling, gymnastics, reading, illustration, vegetarianism, and drinking coffee. I also like to paint, travel, play the ukulele, and learn about cultures.
